China’s Maldives
Drone and Phone travels to Sanya for the start of a new series around Hainan Province. In this episode, DJ goes island hopping, takes a scuba dive around a ship wreck and walks the golden beaches of West Island. Returning back to Sanya, there’s a seafood feast awaiting before hitting the city’s famous nightclubs.
Surf & Sand
In this episode, Drone and Phone walks a section of Bin Hai Lu You, a 35km stretch of wild coastline, checking the food at a small fishing village and taking to the waves on China’s best-known surf beach. Local teacher and DJ, David Hauxwell, questions DJ Clark on his DJ-ing credentials and challenges him to a surf-off.
Into the Mountains
In this episode, Drone and Phone busses it through the heart of Hainan island to the city of Baisha. We then switch to a car and drive into the countryside, where DJ Clark and DJ David walk out in search of Li culture.
Dragon Island
In this episode, Drone and Phone takes a boat trip on China’s second largest reservoir, climbs a mountain, and meanders over to an amazing waterfall. DJ Clark and DJ David continue their adventure through Hainan island.
