Don’t be fooled by what looks like an easy 18km trail. The Plover Cove Reservoir Country Trail is picturesque but soon gets a lot tougher as the hills rise to around 300m and almost drop to the sea in between.

Starting with a gentle stroll over the Plover Cove Reservoir Dam, the first section is a pleasant walk with great views. Once on the far side things start to get a little harder as you start to climb up and down as you follow a ridge around the reservoir. The hike finishes with a more gentle walk into Bride’s Pool where you can take the mini bus back to Tai Po.
