The Mount Stenhouse Loop

This 21 km hike starts in the north of Lamma at the Pak Kok Ferry Pier. From here we climb up to Tai Ping village and onto Lamma Winds, the territories only commercial windmill. From there we leave the concrete and walk the spine of the island with diversions to a view point above Yung Shue Wan and a world war two Japanese cave. The hike continues down to Lo So Sing and then up the back of Mount Stenhouse, the tallest peak on the island.

After a lunch break with sweeping views across the island descend down to the magnificent Turtle Beach then across the bay of Tung O before one last climb up Ling Kok Shan. On a clear day you can see Macau from the peak. Then it’s a descent down to Son Kwu Wan which has ferries back to Central and Aberdeen or walk back along the way you came to Pak Kok.
