This last hike is not so much a hike but rather a visit to three tourist spots at the western terminus of the wall and walking around them. There is a walk at the end if you chose not to take the bus or camels, but it is not too far and flat.

Take a taxi to the Jiayuguan Fort, to start your day and wander around. There is plenty to see and if you are lucky there will be some actors playing Ming soldiers to make it feel more real.

From there tae another taxi out to the overhanging Great Wall which will be your only climb of the day as you walk up to a viewing spot where the wall once stood guard over the Hexi Corridor.

Finally to finish your day and indeed the wall take a taxi to the Wall End, where you can walk through the desert along the final stretch of the wall to the point it ends at a huge canyon.
