Lantau Trail Sections 10 – 12
The Lantau Trail is a 70-kilometer long-distance hiking trail located on Lantau Island in Hong Kong. It is known for its diverse and scenic landscapes, ranging from coastal areas and beaches to mountainous terrain and forests.
Another long but relatively flat walk to finish off the trail. It starts with a climb up to the catch water before a long flat hike with occasional views over south Lantau. Section eleven continues along the catch water to the end before taking on a forested path down to the road.
The final section (twelve) is long and proves a little challenge to prove your worth before claiming the trail. From the beautiful village of Pui O the trail climbs up Ngau Wu Peak before slowly making its way back down to Mui Wo through forested paths.

DIRECTIONS
Get to the start: Take bus route 11/23 from Tung Chung or Mui Wo to Ngong Ping or Tai O and get off at Shui Hay village.
Get home: It is possible to taker a bus or taxi from Mui Wo to Tung Chung to pick up the MTR but we suggest just jumping on a ferry to Central. A fitting end to the trail.
