Wilson Trail Sections 1 & 2
The Wilson Trail stretches for 78 kilometers from Stanley on Hong Kong Island to Nam Chung on the mainland. It is named after David Wilson, who was Governor of Hong Kong from 1987 to 1992.
Starting just above Stanley, section one starts with the Twins – two steep peaks one after another up concrete steps. After some forested paths the section finishes with one final climb up Violet Hill before descending down to Park View. These sections take you through the heart of Hong Kong Island where at times you feel like you are in a wilderness far away from the big city that surrounds you.
On section 2 they are in front. Start with a hike up to Jardine’s Lookout, with stunning views across Victoria Harbour and then continue over the ridge and slowly down to Quarry Bay. As you go down the Harbour opens up in front.
