Setting off around Hong Kong Island
Starting off the circumnavigation of Hong Kong Island this hike starts at the Expo Promenade in Wan Chai and takes in the most dramatic promenade walk of the trail. Passing the big wheel and the Central piers it continues on to Kennedy town along a restored promenade with lots to see and do along the way.
At Kennedy Town it leaves the pristine walkway and heads up along Shing Sai Road with the occasional drop down to short sections of more promenade. Make the diversion at the Sai Wan Pavilion to get your selfie at one of Hong Kong’s most instagrammed spots, before finishing at sunset, at the sunset pavilion to watch the sky turn red as ships pass through the channel.
