Hong Hong Trail Sections 1 & 2

The Hong Kong Trail is a 50 kilometer hiking trail that runs through the heart of Hong Kong’s country parks and forests, showcasing the natural beauty of the region. 

The first section of the trail, called “The Peak,” takes hikers around the the islands second highest point, Victoria Peak, where they can enjoy panoramic views of the city. The second section, The section finishes with a slow decent through the forests of the Lung Fu Shan Country Park.

The second section is slow contour walk along forested paths that traverse above Sandy Bay, Telegraph Bay and Pok Fu Lam Village. The final section descends down towards Aberdeen with stunning views over the fishing harbour.

DIRECTIONS

Get to the start: There are many ways to get up to The Peak Tower. Take the tram from Central, or bus number 15 from Exchange Square or a taxi. Once at the Tower look for the entrance to Lugard Road and start there following the Hong Kong Trail signs (a picture of two hikers).

Get home: Walk out down Peel Rise into Aberdeen where there are many bus/taxi options, or a short walk to the Wong Chuk Hang MTR station.
