Kayaking the Chishui River
The activity centers around a scenic river kayaking excursion covering approximately six kilometers downstream. Participants don life jackets and navigate the smooth waters, accompanied by qualified instructors for safety, especially when encountering occasional rapids. The journey offers a unique perspective of the surrounding landscape, passing by waterfalls, bamboo plantations, and local wildlife. It is an accessible water sport where the current aids progress, making it manageable even for those paddling at a leisurely pace.
Following the time on the water, the activity transitions to land-based exploration and adventure. Participants can disembark to visit ancient settlements located along the riverbanks, which are rich in historical significance related to military retreats of the past. For a more adrenaline-fueled experience, abseiling off high bridges is available, providing spectacular panoramic views of the river valley and waterfalls below. This combination of paddling and climbing offers a diverse way to experience the natural and historical features of the region.
