Changbai Mountain

Skiing in Changbaishan offers one of the most complete winter experiences in China, combining natural snow, varied slopes, and easy accessibility. With 31 km of pistes spread across beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, the resort caters to all types of skiers, from families just starting out to more experienced riders looking for a challenge. Unlike many Chinese resorts that rely on artificial snow, Changbaishan enjoys reliable natural snowfall throughout the season, giving it a true alpine feel. Getting there is also straightforward, with direct flights from major Chinese cities and convenient transfers to the resort, plus a new high-speed rail station opening soon. Once on-site, the resort is well equipped for international visitors, offering English-language lessons and a smooth rental process, making it an easy choice for both domestic and overseas guests.

Beyond the slopes, Changbaishan delivers plenty of reasons to linger. Visitors can enjoy night skiing on freshly groomed pistes, relax in natural hot springs under the snow, or explore off-slope activities like snow hiking, biking, and ice buggies. The resort town itself is compact and lively, offering everything from Korean barbecue and local snacks to international staplaes like Starbucks and Pizza Hut. Accommodation is plentiful, with ten hotels catering to different budgets, and savvy travelers can take advantage of early bird packages for excellent value. Whether it’s gliding down wide green runs, trying out the snow park, or unwinding in an outdoor hot spring after a day on the mountain, Changbaishan strikes a perfect balance of fun, comfort, and accessibility—making it one of Jilin’s top ski destinations.
