Tai Mo Shan Loop
An epic 40-kilometer road ride across Tai Lam Country Park, around its reservoir, and on up to Tai Mo Shan, Hong Kong’s highest peak.
Some of the most strenuous hill climbs will be encountered on this ride as you head up along quiet, leafy paths before reaching the awe-inspiring views seen from the last section of road that winds up to Tai Mo Shan. Your endurance will be further rewarded with a 5-kilometer-long descent into Tsuen Wan to end the route at the MTR station.

DIRECTIONS
Get to the start: Begin the route at Tsuen Wan Promenade outside Tsuen Wan West MTR.
Join the cycle track heading in the direction of Castle Peak Road.
Leave the cycle track and join Castle Peak Road in the direction of the Gold Coast.
After 10 kilometers, turn right at a roundabout and head up to Tai Lam Country Park.
Follow signs for Sui Lam Mountain Bike Trail.
After 5 kilometers, turn right onto Tai Lam Forest Track.
Follow the trail for 12 kilometers until you reach Route Twisk.
Cross over the road and head up Tai Mo Shan Road.
Look out for a barrier and pass through it for the last few kilometers to the top.
Get home: Make the 5-kilometer descent into Tsuen Wan and finish at the MTR station.
